The Maharashtra government plans to launch an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based farming pilot project involving 10,000 participants in its first phase. The initiative aims to help farmers improve agricultural productivity and make informed decisions using AI-driven farming solutions. The project draws inspiration from the successful AI-based sugarcane farming initiative in Baramati, which demonstrated the potential of technology in modern agriculture. By integrating AI into farming practices, the state aims to support crop management, improve farm efficiency and help farmers address challenges related to crop productivity and changing market conditions.
